Kindness
“the quality of being friendly, generous, and considerate”
If your child shows an act of kindness, I will happily and proudly praise him/her. If your child shows an act of unkindness, together with your child, we will discuss that action and any consequences necessary. Punishments may be a timeout in the classroom, a timeout at recess, a visit with Mr. Imm, and/or a note home. I will also let you know if I feel we need to discuss your child’s behavior. Otherwise, if you do not hear from me, all is good!
This year in our classroom, we will be using a positive behavior incentive program. Your child will be given a punch card and will have the opportunity to earn 20 punches on their card. They can earn these punches for a variety of reasons - using kind words, being present and participating in class, helping classmates, and showing all around respectful behavior. Once they fill up their card, they will get to pick a special reward. I would appreciate your support at home with this behavior incentive. I know that if we work together, we will have a great year!
Thank you for your support,
Tabitha Rolerkite
