Hello Everyone!

My name is Tabitha Rolerkite and I teach kindergarten at W.J. Zahnow Elementary School. Teaching kindergarten is a dream come true for me and I am passionate about helping students grow and educating little minds.

I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and Geography from Western Illinois University. I grew up in Rock Falls, IL, and become a Red Bud resident after meeting my husband in college.

I live with my husband Colin, who is the Deputy Director of the St. Louis Downtown Airport, and our two children; Aubrey and Henry. Aubrey celebrated her third birthday in July and Henry was born at the end of April. We also have one furry child, Sadie Mae. My interests include spending time with family and friends, gardening, listening to music, drinking coffee, and exercising. I am also a huge fan of all things St. Louis... GO CARDINALS!

I chose to teach because... helping people learn and making a difference in a child's life makes my heart happy! I believe in developing strong relationships with my students. Learning can only happen if there is a mutual respect, and trust, between a student and their teacher. I love learning about my students, learning their talents, celebrating their achievements, and watching them flourish inside, and outside, of the classroom!
